Yet it always makes me so curious to know how people view me. Not that I would necessarily change or be affected by others’ opinions, but we’d be lying to ourselves if we honestly tried to say we didn’t care what other people thought about us.
I’m starting to wonder if it’s better to be completely open and honest about yourself with people or if it’s better to put up walls. I know it’s definitely safer, but I have always stood by the idea that you can miss out on a lot of opportunities by putting your guard up. Lately however I have been realizing how much people are keeping from me, even though I am being completely open with them. I guess what you give is not always what you get, but that is a discouraging sentiment.
